John Dramani Mahama says that the novel Coronavirus Pandemic has uncovered flaws in the economic system of African countries.
According to him, with innovative leadership and a belief in the entrepreneurial and dynamic young people of Africa, the situation should be reversed.
However, John Dramani Mahama claims that most African countries are suffering in the field of health services, as the epidemic continues to place strain on health facilities and healthcare workers across the globe.
In a statement to mark the African Union (AU) Day celebrations, the former President said, “COVID-19 has highlighted the systemic flaws of our economic system as exporters of primary goods and importers of finished products.
“But with innovative leadership and a belief in our entrepreneurial and dynamic young people in particular, we can and should turn the wheels of the African economy back on track. Happy AU Day.
